Knife Crime

Crime Scene

At Pathways Education Project, we're committed to preventing knife crime through early intervention.  Our work supports young people, families, schools, and communities by offering practical solutions that protect and empower.

Our Knife Crime Workshops help attendees to understand the risks and real-life consequences of carrying knives - thereby promoting positive decision-making.  We offer

both general awareness sessions, and more targeted workshops - including modules which provide a more in-depth insight into the mindsets of those who choose to carry knives.

Our General Awareness Workshops are designed to:

  • Highlight the risks of carrying knives

  • Highlight the legal consequences

  • Explore the impact on victims and families

  • Build resilience

Our more Targeted Workshops include a focus on:

  • Identifying risk factors and triggers

  • Coping mechanism and conflict resolution skills

  • Exploring alternative pathways and support systems

  • Developing strategies for staying safe

Benefits Include:

  • Increased awareness of the dangers and consequences of knife crime

  • Development of essential life skills

  • Reduced risk of involvement in criminal activity

  • Enhanced resilience - ability to resist peer pressure

  • Improved decision-making skills
